In 1998, the Washingtonian Magazine named Commonwealth Restorations one of the area's top contractors. The article was a result of interviews and recommendations with area architects and architectural firms and a poll of members of the NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) trade group. That was especially gratifying to us since we were not, at that time, a member of either of these groups. The architect/contractor relationship is very important to the success of a construction project. Our firm is excited to be able to claim the kudos that the Washingtonian has bestowed upon us. Four years later, we were recognized by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce as the Small Business of the Year.
We are proud to say that, with the combined trust of local merchants, builders, architects and clients with whom we have worked, we indeed have emerged as a leader in this part of the Arlington renovation and construction industry.
Commonwealth Restorations has continued to strive for new and better methods and products throughout the years to serve our customers. Our new home construction remains sensitive to the community and neighborhoods. The construction of a new home can be a detriment to a neighborhood unless local concerns and traditional values are upheld in the construction project. We would rather stand back and look at a developed site with pride than see a site that has not been preserved correctly.
